I missed a lot of the pre-match today and so had to some Google searching to find out why our players were wearing white armbands today.
It was in honour of the White Ribbon organization (violence against women) and in particular, respect for Eurydice Dixon.
A bit political for some maybe, but personally, I was pretty impressed by the support shown.

I didn't even notice the armbands. Which makes it more of an internal act of respect than a "Look at us making a big deal out of something" PR exercise.

Understated and fair dinkum.

I like it.
