Stop rolling the dice on banged-up senior citizens and just continue developing our own, thank you very much...

Speaking of which, when are you handing over the cowl to Dick?

He and I don't really talk anymore. Things got... messy.

Harsh.

Brutal.

And very much accurate.

Considering his playing future at the blues.

Any interest?

Is a free agent so won't cost us anything. Would play for unders for some premiership success so blues compo would likely be a 3rd rounder.

Sweet if he were to come to us and help deliver the ultimate.

Payback for Daisy, which was a massive win for us.

You talk about payback and also that losing Daisy was a win for us.

Wasn't losing a banged up Daisy and them paying overs enough of a win for us, rather than seek retribution. Blues & Mick did us a favour.

As for Murphy, he's surplus to our requirements. Save the money up to chase Lynch or retain Moore & DeGoey.

No thanks. Would rather sink my cap space into De Goey and Lynch.

Agree with most. We have higher priorities like key forward and key backs.

However, his move will be for an opportunity for success. Not money. So he may be willing to move for $ unders. He would be a classy outside user if he was to play that role and compliment our other mids. We will need a Wells replacement. And he cost us nothing at the trade table.

I'd take him so long as he doesn't stop is getting other more desired positions.

Not cause hes not a good player cause carlton hate aside......he is.

Hes just not what we need, injury prone and too old for our profile at this stage.

There wouldnt be many mids we would "pay" to bring in at the moment, we have elite talent and depth. Id rather get games into Sier, Will's, both Browns and Daicos. Aish has to come back also..

When he plays and is fit, he is an A grader. Not sure we can have too many of them!

Wells has been a massive success............... when he played and when fit. He is (was) an A Grader that made a difference. These guys come in as the 5th or 6th banana and can get of the leash to do some big damage.

Agree he isn't a desperate need, but if he came on the right terms, I'd take him in a heart beat.

The window is open for us in the next two years. Why wouldn't he fit into that window?

SEN reporting he has said he is staying, so this is all probably moot.

I suspect he likes a dollar - who doesn't? So why wouldn't he stay on for another year?

Will be turning 31 in a few weeks.

Does he have more than 20 games left in him?

Could be an embarrassing end if Carlton dont want him in 2019.

Not much love for him from what I can see.
However, my thoughts were that if he was prepared to play for unders to get success, it would be a calculated risk.
Think that being left to be that outside player off the wing, and with our existing midfield he could flourish.
Obviously the thought that former Blues captain and number 1 pick, playing a part in a flag for us would also be a nice bit of irony and only add to the Blue's misery Very Happy

It would be pretty sweet to be talking to my Carlton mate after Murphy helped us win a flag. I'd be telling him all about how much better Murphy was once he came to a decent club that was going places and that maybe my mate should switch too as it would probably do him wonders.

I'd then pretend to take a phone call, saying "yeah? Really? Oh... ok then. Sorry". I'd then hang up and say "Yeah so that was the Collingwood Army. They say they don't want you"

That'd be pretty cool. But yeah. We don't need Murphy. We need either a CHB or a CHF that can let Moore go back. And for one of Wills or Sier to come on.

Too old.
Too injured.

Have we not learned with Wells.

Why do people constantly want to consider players of this type?

Move on.

Keep the money for our out-of-contractors.
