So 31 is too old, but 34 is just right, ok...
He'd be a fantastic small forward, with Elliott so injury prone and Stephenson possibly moving into the midfield more as he gets more experience, he would be very handy
Plus a shitload better than Wells and a lot younger |

This is accurate. But still, we need to focus on other areas first.
Wells might retire, which opens up the chance to bring in some experience, or a leader, but I dont know if Murphy will be it.
The other thing you forgot to mention eddie, is that Murphys contract will probably be a lot less then what Wells is on. A lot less. Thats something to think about. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

It's a no from me, think his body is shot. We have enough blokes with injuries to worry about. Let's get that star Elliot out on the park.
In my opinion we don't need any more midfielders. _________________ "Still waiting for your call Caroline ... not a quote in sight. Don't ever presume to speak on Collingwood's behalf," |

We'd definitely have to manage and rest him at times, but he's still a bloody good player. I'd take him.
The difference between him and Wells is that Murphy's injury problems are pretty much limited to the last few years, whereas Wells' have been constant throughout his career.
Wells has played 20+ games in a season 5 times, Murphy 8 times.
Not to mention, Murphy is a significantly better player even when they're both healthy. _________________ "We ain't gotta dream no more" |

He can rot at Carlton. I don't want him. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

You know it's only a matter of time before someone Photoshops that pic of him into a Collingwood jumper, right...? _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Ive been wondering who will give him a shot?
He wants to play finals. But which finals team wants him?
Can he get 30 to 40 more games out of the body? Or is he just hoping to get the flag and call it a day?
Yes we've got bigger fish to fry. But when Wells is gone and Murphy says he will play for the minimum... I dont know. It's not the worst idea.
Anyway, let's focus on getting the KPF we want and keeping DeGoey first. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

They say Geelong and Melbourne are the (only) two interested parties. |

Does he have more than 20 games left in him?
Could be an embarrassing end if Carlton dont want him in 2019. |
Very apt comment; when you look at the way they shopped around Kruzer, let Gibbs go and the way they look to be playing Murphy, and that these three were the supposed heart and soul of the place, well, it speaks volumes about the character of the so called club.

For a start Wells wasn't always injury plagued, it's only been in his latter years and to say Murphy is a significantly better player than Wells, you must be taking the piss , right?
Wells at his best was a superstar, wheras Murphy has been a very good player.
Big difference. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

Selwood, Ablett, Dangerfield and Murphy.
What'll they call it?
Dangerwoodlettphy?
However, I feel like the Cats window is finally starting to close. Melbourne could be a better fit as they lack experience and leadership. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Geelong would be stupid f they took Murohy. They would be better getting the best available mid in the draft they can get and have him learn under the others as a replacement. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |
