To all on Nicks,It's time to leave. I doubt I'll be missed as it is a very hard place to be recognised,however I tried my best and had my say on a few things and it's now time to sit back and let the nerves and angst pass on at games end rather than continue for days and weeks sometimes. I've been a Nicks member for 16 years and heralded in just the single flag but how sweet it was.
I liked a lot of the posters here and some not much but that's the fabric of a society. I don't know what will become of Collingwood as it is structured at present, but I was born and bred a Magpie coming up 65 years ago and I've never seen a live Premiership win and witnessed 9 losses on the final Saturday and still stuck fat. I do love the club and I hope they do succeed but I just can't see it happening under this administration.I wish all you guys at Nicks a happy life and I may check in from time to time t look but won't be commenting and definitely not the rest of this year. It's not going to be an easy thing but anyway.Farewell to you all.  |

Nicks has not been a happy place these last few years, but guess it just mirrors our performance.
Shame you have not witnessed the ultimate live. I have seen 2, the 2 draws and 5 of the 8 losses that l recall. Was too young to remember 64 and 66.
Let's hope the Pies can turn it around. |

Muddy, just keep venting like the rest of us. We like your non-sugar-coated posts; say it like it is, one week at a time...
You think we all haven't fancied penning this forum a Farewell letter in the last few years? I nearly do it twice a year on average!
If we get rolled by the scum next week, feel free to take a well earned spell, and I might even join you, but if we win, things might just turn the corner a little.
We are taking water, but the ship isn't sinking just yet!

Mud... I know how you feel, what you mean, exactly where you are coming from. I went the big vent after round 1.. and now I just have to sit back and watch it unfold. Yesterday was just like similar performances over the last 5 years, our boys can match it with anyone when they have a crack. But its too taxing and our default footy is not good enough. Not much has changed since 2014, same gutsy performances followed by insipid ones to deflate us. But don't leave unless you need to.. lurk and go the odd jugular, it'll keep you younger and stop that bs getting bottled up inside you. cheers mate.

1964 - loss, too young to take it in
1966 - missed
1970 - loss, got into a fight with a Carlton supporter
1977 - missed
1979 - loss, got into another fight with a Carlton supporter (vowed never to attend another Collingwood Carlton GF)
1980 - missed (had a premonition we were going to get slaughtered)
1982 - missed (see 1979)
1990 - couldn't attend as overseas
2002 - loss (actually drank in the bar with the genuine Brisbane Fritzroy supporters after the game)
2003 - loss
2010 - drawn gf attended and found most of the St Kilda supporters really good
2010 replay - sick in bed with the flu and couldn't attend
2011 - loss
So plenty of losses for me and no wins either. |

No wonder he left. I tagged him for $100 early in the season when he said we’d get our 3rd spoon. Not that I wanted his grocery money, but I always like the opportunity to point out the value of money to fools.
