So the Pies win in somewhat less than spectacular circumstances against the Gold Coast last night however:
* Swans lose
* Roos lose
* Cats lose
* Hawks lose
All helping us move up the ladder. Plus Carlton have another honorable loss (despite it being better for our prospects if they won). All in all, a nice weekend for us Pies fans. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Injuries are killing us. I know we have better depth than previous years but they will eventually take their toll. We need stability especially this time of year. _________________ Collingwood forever, forever Collingwood |

Hopefully the next 2-3 weeks will see the return of Elliott, Varcoe and Moore, which would lighten the impact of other missing players. Losing Dunn is the real worry, because we really don't have a similar replacement, though Mihocek seems the best option. |

We can add North, Melbourne and (probably) Freo to that list.
Unbelievably good results. _________________ Donny.

I think some posters need to remind themselves of these upset results when they continually bang on about we should have destroyed this team and we should have belted that team.
It ain’t easy winning every week and historically most upsets occur in June / July when the better teams occasionally take their eye of the ball and start getting ahead of themselves.
All you need to do is win, particularly when the others don’t.
If you keep winning often enough, then regardless of the margin, playing in Sept will look after itself. |

I'm not sure I agree these results are helpful. We need the Tigers to get knocked out of a top-two spot, so they actually have to play a game that matters away from the G. Almost all sides are collapsing and collecting huge injury lists, while they keep winning home games and have injuries only to bit-part players. They are hopeless away from home, but that won't matter if they don't need to leave home, and then the biggest loser will be the game itself. |

You blokes forgot to mentions the Crows digging deep to route WCE on saturday; that also helped clear the path to second spot.
Was great watching Melbourne ballz up another game, we done saints.
That helps even out the congestion around mid-table with many teams log-jammed on similar points. Suck it; the lot of you! _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Indeed – it’s quite possible that seven of eight games fell our way (Port’s win over Carlton being the exception). What that also means is that ours was one of only three games in which the higher-placed team beat the lower-placed team (which means that our win over the Suns was nothing to sneeze at). Pretty remarkable stuff, all round! _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

That’s because most of the team winning at the start of the year is now winnng in the seniors.
We have depth but it doesn’t run to 55 players. |

All the injuries to the AFL side means all of our depth is now playing AFL rather than VFL _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Disagree. Much better having Tigers 1st than an interstate team.
If we can retain 2nd spot we are right in it. Injuries is the bug concern right now.
At the end of the day we need to beat Tiggers anyway and that will be MCG. _________________ All We Can Be |

All results, except Port, went our way. The Fremantle game impacts us the least but still relevant - better to have them snuffed out with nothing to play for by round 23. |
