We should only look for these Types/Postion during the Trade/Free Agency/Draft Period

and they are:

Full Forward
Center Half Forward
Center Half Back
Full Back

We could probably solve one of those areas if we walk away from Quaynor.
It’s your call, Dave 😉

I think we need another quality mid. Daniel Wells was supposed to be that player, but it hasn't worked.

Talls are overrated in today's game, it's all about running. Moore can be a gun KPD and Cox is a very useful "bail out kick" type of target. We'll need to replace Dunn though soon.

That's why it would make sense for the club to aggressively pursue May from the Suns.

Maybe Treloar?

I'm slowly starting to change my mind on this.

For one thing, how many of the young key forwards drafted in recent years have come on and shown anything, apart from Hogan?

Curnow at Carlton, but he's an oversized midfielder who is suited to the way the game is played now.

If the AFL changes the rules and puts zones in place where you have to have people inside the forward 50 at stoppages, then maybe the traditional tall forward will make a comeback

Which poses another question -
Do you go hard at the end of this season at the cost of a significant trade scenario
Or do you wait till the end of 2019 and roll the dice on free agency when he costs us “ nothing “.
That’s a tough call for mine but the Dunn injury probably swings it more towards sooner than later.
We will also need the points to draft Will Kelly, which shouldn’t be to difficult to organise.

^^You can go into deficit on points in future years, so picking up Will Kelly shouldn't be too problematic for us

I meant in addition to him.

^Yes, May in for Dunn and we should be OK for talls with Cox, Moore, Mihocek and support from Shaz, Howe, Goldsack etc and given the development in McClarty and by picking up Will Kelly in the draft.

I don't think we need much more than that in terms of talls.

Good point - I think the rule changes will have some effect on team structures, and more talls may be most beneficial (depending which of the rumoured rule changes eventuate).
