I think we'll finish 4th... how does that work? |

It just isn't going to work for GCS given May has a year left on his contract.
Bear in mind also, this is shaping as yet another compromised draft as noises out of AFL house suggest that incompetent clubs will be awarded priority picks possibly pushing us back 2-3 spots. _________________ All We Can Be |

Quaynor at 11.
Kelly at 19. |
Quaynor @ #11 and Rhylee West @ #15.
Hmm, dunno.
There are always bolters at the Combine, so hopefully they will both drift out come draft day. |

Can’t keep an original speculative pick on list or 3 years+ |
I would usually agree but I reckon there's something a bit special about Kale and worth giving another crack. 3 years is a bit misleading, in playing terms it's only 2. Of course his condition may well be the decider. |
can not keep on a list. |
Is that a statement of fact or your opinion? _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Kirby is on our primary list so he can stay there as long as we re-contract him, unlike rookies who have a time limit of, I think, 2 years. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

And even then you can promote a rookie to the primary list so there is only one restriction on keeping players being the requirement to have list space for a minimum of 3 National Draft selections/rookie promotions. _________________ All We Can Be |

Fasolo - he may have his papers stamped at the club, but for mine he is too talented to let go unless his contract demands are outrageous. Failing that, look to maximise FA compensation.
Dunn - towards end of career and ACL injury, but potentially an important depth player. I think we can delist and rookie him with minimal risk (if we need an extra primary list spot) and offer him a low salary and match payments.
Goldsack - towards end of career, but potentially an important depth player. Has indicated he will play for "free". I think we can delist and rookie him with minimal risk (if we need an extra primary list spot) and offer him a low salary and match payments.
Blair - still only 28. Important depth player. Offer him a low salary and match payments or look at options to maximise FA compensation (see my GCS idea above).
Oxley and Smith are delists for me (although see my GCS idea above).
Kirby depends entirely on the medical situation for me. |

I came *this* close to unstickying the thread.
You're lucky I have such strong self-control... |
I thought you would want him as a depth player so he can carry our VFL team on his shoulders again ... _________________ All We Can Be |

Posted a link in the OP to the latest HS article re Quaynor and Kelly."
"Kelly is rated as high as pick 20 in some early phantom drafts, while 182cm defender Quaynor was ranked No. 9 in the AFL website’s most recent draft board." _________________ All We Can Be |
