Well done Swannies by downing GWS.
Top 4 if we beat Freo which seems highly likely.
Only down side is that we will most likely finish 3rd with a trip to WA.
Well done Pies ...I didn't think we could do that at the start of the season. |

With Sydney winning tonight we will maintain top 4 going into the last week.Beat Fremantle next week and we get the double chance. What a great year from our amazing team who have perservered against the biggest injury cloud to exceed all expectations. I am so proud of the team. Go pies.

And they have to travel back to Melbourne
again next week.

Saints beat Hawks tonight and we might finish top 4 even if we lose (god forbid!). But yeah, can’t miss the 4 if we win now.

Cast your minds back to the final round of 2008.
We were 5th on the ladder heading into the final round and we were playing Fremantle in Perth with us being heavy favourites, as the Dockers finished 14th (3rd last) that year. Most of us expected to win with a top 4 spot up for grabs provided North lost to Port in the same round.
What subsequently happened was that we lost to Fremantle by 4 goals on the Friday night and North squandered their chance for a top 4 spot losing to Port, rubbing salt into the wound that we missed our chance. In the end, St Kilda came out of nowhere and made the top 4.
I've seen too many screw ups in the past to be supremely confident. If we bring our best and do the basics well, we should be winning next week's game.
