^Yes. Someone hasn't considered that Mayne has lost about 4-5kg so that he can cover ground to play wing. He used to play 'big' as an almost key position player, but he has since trimmed up. So he's now well under height and weight to be playing KPP at either end.

My theory on Sam is, if he's not good enough to come into the Seniors when we have a team of injuries, then why did we draft him?

Because he’s still learning the caper?

It might be a good idea to give McLarty a senior game in defence, before the finals arrive, so we can see how he goes, just in case he's needed in September.

It's not only that. He needs to have a look at AFL

If we debut him in finals, he'll be having his first senior AFL experience in front of 80,000+ fans and, if playing back, trying to curtail one of the leagues best tall forwards. If he's forward, he'll be trying to outdo 1 or 2 premier backmen instead. With the added speed and intensity of AFL from VFL, let alone finals, he's a monty to be overwhelmed.

At least get that initial impact taken care of. 50,000 on the G this weekend will be a big enough buzz. Freo the week after has a couple of talls that we'll need his height to combat too.

If that is your theory what is your question?

If I didn't ask that HAL would have.

I could almost go with the idea of McClarty replacing Mihocek at CHF and him replacing Madgen down back, but when you put Mayne at full back I just have to say, whatever you're smoking, stop it.

Agree, though I would simply replace Madgen with McLarty.

Ah so he is a very slow learner.

Precisely why I'd like him to play.

Then again, maybe Murphy is a better replacement for Oxley?

Murphy's a beauty but probably too much on the light side.

Oxley may be built like a pipe cleaner but he has mature hard muscle
