Cast your minds back to the final round of 2008.

We were 5th on the ladder heading into the final round and we were playing Fremantle in Perth with us being heavy favourites, as the Dockers finished 14th (3rd last) that year. Most of us expected to win with a top 4 spot up for grabs provided North lost to Port in the same round.

What subsequently happened was that we lost to Fremantle by 4 goals on the Friday night and North squandered their chance for a top 4 spot losing to Port, rubbing salt into the wound that we missed our chance. In the end, St Kilda came out of nowhere and made the top 4.

I've seen too many screw ups in the past to be supremely confident. If we bring our best and do the basics well, we should be winning next week's game.

No pessimists allowed.

With Sydney playing Hawthorn at the SCG next week, it is likely we will end up third.

^ Well, home and away are definitely not the same thing. (Just ask Richmond... Well, don't do that. Ask them in a fantasy world in which they are honest.)

I don't mind third.

It would be back to back Perth trips but i reckon the Eagles are undermanned at the moment.

Don't say that, I've seen enough epic screw ups over the journey in the last round or two against beatable teams to not get ahead of myself.

Mate Freo lost by 133 today.
And they have to travel back to Melbourne
again next week.
It will be like backing Winx.

The game is in WA.

Bloody hell ...i got that wrong.
In Freo ....still ...we will most likey win.

Until we post a winning score next week over in the West, it’s a string bag.

Bloody St Kilda can never get anything right. One more goal and we’d be even harder to topple from the top 4. Still, our percentage is up, theirs down.
