With Melb flogging GWS the makeup of the 8 is set and our path is known.
Rich v Haw
WCE v Pies
Melb v Geel
Syd v GWS
Beat the Eagles and we look forward to one of the Vic teams in the prelim (most likely Hawks or Melb).
Lose to the Eagles and we face one of the Sydney teams in a semi for the right to play Rich or Hawks in prelim.

Going by that scenario above, I wouldn't mind so much dropping the Eagles match & returning to the G against a NSW team...

I think either win or lose its pretty good for us... Win into prelim... Lose home game against I'd be guessing a injured GWS and Or injured bud that won't be given the 10 scoring shots like he got at the SCG! I have a good feeling about this.

Yeah, I'd rather be in our side of the draw. The loser of Richmond/Hawthorn have to play either Melbourne or Geelong.

So we may not end up playing the NSW teams, what if GEEL & MEL win both their EFs?
We'll end up playing either MEL or GEEL at the G in week 2.
