Richmond, a city of stunned people, stunned players, stunned fans. This was meant to be their premiership. They sat atop the table all year, rarely challenged. So audacious was this City that they lit up their Town Hall to celebrate 'their' Premiership a week early. The switch was flicked by their favourite son (who actually comes from the Mornington Peninsula). Thats an expensive light show Yarra Council. So audaciously arrogant was this City that they decided last week to close Swan Street on Grand Final night because it would inevitably be filled with Tiger revellers. Richmond were stunned by us in the first quarter last night and never recovered. So were there fans and the whole football world. Stunned Richmond supporters are walking the streets today wondering what just happened. Like Tsunami survivors. Wondering was it all a bad dream. It wasn't. Hindsight will show that they got ahead of themselves. They were good last year but this year they became the hunted and when it counted they failed. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Blessed with no injuries all year until the time when it mattered the most. Consigned to history as a one-hit wonder. It wasn't meant to end this way. Now face the winter of despair.

Collingwood, a city of revellers, lovers, winners. Who's heroes last night slayed a giant. They went on a tiger hunt and emerged victorious. Our town hall was decorated with a few modest banners. Much better value for money for the Yarra Council. Two weeks worth of value. Collingwood, a city which overcame adversity through its football club. Our team who overcame adversity all year. A coach who cant coach, a bunch of rag-tag battlers who hadn't beaten anyone all year. Still missing many of our best warriors. Last night we announced our arrival and the doubters elsewhere and within, now know we are a serious football team. A team built on love and guts. What a night it was! Almost a night, Joffa, to bring the dead out of their graves. Ours is the epoch of belief, the epoch of incredulity, the season of Light, one step away from perhaps our greatest glory ever.

When Treloar kicked that sealer in the last before Grundy's, it was just fkn glorious watching those pricks exiting the G with their heads down...

Other than the huge RICH chant at the beginning of the 1st (admittedly it was loud) all we kept hearing all night was the COLL roar & the slow chant!

I couldn't walk at the end of the game, my legs were jelly, took me a good 30mins after the siren to get the strength to actually leave my seat & make my way out!

Peace has been restored, we ended their 22 winning streak & their season, 1980 has officially been laid to rest!
