The absolute shits.
Yep.
I was there last night. It was awful.
Getting to the ground. Awful. The line to get in. Awful. Sat in my new home seats. Not awful. But not fantastic either. The game. Awful. Cal Browns goal. The highlight of the night. Getting out of the ground. Absolutely awful. Being stuck in traffic and getting home at 1am. Awful.
Thats Round 1 done.
It's no ones fault, but having an event on at Rod Laver finish at the same time whilst the foot bridge is closed was dreadful. That along with Richmond station. Gee whizz.
And now I have to make a 2 hour drive with myself and two Geelong supporters.

If they're decent people, they won't speak of it. If they're not, you can just push them out of the car, at speed. |

I drove through Geelong last night, about 9 pm, so I would get to my beach house without any of them noticing. |

Beautiful evening here in Port, TP. You should go out of the pub, walk down to the other side of the park and look across the Bay - it's brilliant. |

Cheers, we were going to but we worked out butts off today, came straight home had a shower and fell asleep! Now of course I’m awake in the middle of the night! Can’t wait til it’s finished and we can do just that! I had my camera and tripo to take some sunset shots but was just too tired.
Enjoy xx _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Guess what you have? Surely you don't have DTM? Where has he gone? I really do miss his passion. |

Pity you can't just get a taxpayer-funded chauffeur -- or maybe a helicopter:
Taxpayers pay $15,000 for MPs and spouses to attend grand finals
https://www.theage.com.au/politics/federal/taxpayers-pay-15-000-for-mps-and-spouses-to-attend-grand-finals-20190321-p51674.html
"West Australian Labor MP Madeleine King spent $3962 on flights from Perth to Melbourne to watch the AFL grand final as a guest of the National Australia Bank.
She took her husband with her to watch the West Coast Eagles defeat Collingwood, costing taxpayers an extra $3962.
...
Ms King also claimed $308 in a chauffeur driven car (Comcar) expenses for her and her husband to travel to and from the airport in Perth and one in Melbourne, taking her total grand final bill to more than $8000.
...
Morrison government Minister, Ken Wyatt, a Fremantle Dockers fan, diverted his return home to Perth from Sydney to Melbourne the night before the AFL grand final at the cost of $980, before adding an extra $1963 to continue to Perth the next day.
...
The Sunday Age and The Sun-Herald do not suggest any MP's use of travel claims breach the rules, which allow MPs three interstate return fares for family members each year, as well as family reunion travel to Canberra and around the MP's home state. However, there have been calls for expenses reform, and MPs have been forced to pay back costs in the past." |

Well I went away for the weekend, I drove and we met up with some Essendon supporting friends at the location.
They were very keen to talk about the footy after Collingwoods loss. This is Essendons year after all.
At about the 10 minute mark of the first quarter of yesterdays GWS Vs Essendon game, there wasn't much conversation happening.
Didnt really have the shits anymore after that. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

The last time I spoke with an Essendon-supporting friend about footy was in the twentieth century.
We are no longer friends. |
