was that supposed to be a clever point? Not only is it a right-wing invention that transgender people are ignorant of their own biology – it may shock you to learn that trans women know they can’t get pregnant, too – but the irony here is that transition may in fact affect prostate cancer risk due to hormonal shifts:

As it turns out, biology doesn’t care about how you feel, either… _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Female hormones are a treatment for prostrate cancer and results in negative or negligible readings, but that doesn’t mean cancer free, which suggests the need for a physical test not just a blood test. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

The dumbest comment on the trans debate that I’ve ever heard.

If you think that’s dumb, then you’re both just demonstrating your ignorance – not that that was in doubt when it comes to this topic. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

You don’t need to take it personally. Just own that your (like many people’s) understanding of transgender issues is limited. But reading something like this and trying to put yourself in people’s shoes for a bit may help:
https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/apatientsjourney/99101
Quote: | "Transgender women present in different stages of transition," said Darryl Mitteldorf, LCSW, an oncology social worker who runs Malecare, a national support and advocacy organization for patients with prostate cancer. Malecare pioneered the field of LGBT psycho-oncology and founded the first prostate cancer support group for gay men in 1997 and the first transgender women with prostate cancer group in 2000.
Mitteldorf said some cis-gendered men presented their authentic female selves before moving forward with medical or surgical treatments. But most of the women who attended prostate cancer groups had completed top or bottom surgery and were on hormone therapy.
[…]
"The key message is all of these ladies had prostates, and all wanted a safe place -- no matter which stage of transition they were in -- to talk about prostate cancer, as only they uniquely experience," Mitteldorf said. |
It’s hugely insulting to suggest that a transgender person is in denial about their biology. Trans men know that they have uteruses and trans women know that they have prostates, just like they know that they were born with genitals and other characteristics matching the gender they were assigned at birth. How could anyone go through years of hormonal treatment and sometimes surgery without being acutely aware of all of that?
So, no, being transgender isn’t about not knowing what your body looks like or how it works. It’s about gender, not sex, and gender isn’t biological (as much as we might casually use those terms interchangeably).
We’re all ignorant of certain things. That’s not something to be ashamed of. But when that ignorance is embraced and used to hurt, mock or belittle others, that is shameful, and it should be pushed back on vigorously by people who value kindness and respect. |

He is not name calling, just pointing out ignorance where he sees it and being extremely polite and patient with everybody, while receiving almost none of that in return. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

Yep
Comes across as if his word is 100% spot on and belittles the opinions of others.
It’s possible to discuss a subject and disagree with people without calling them idiots, arrogant or ignorant. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |
