If its not broken, it will be fine. Still 6 weeks to go until Geelong.

Jon Ralph on the Herald-Sun tweeting:
"The Pies were worried about a crack in the ankle/lower leg for de Goey before they sent him for scans. Obviously waiting for official word and will be hoping its only ligament damage but with exactly 35 days to Round 1 for them fingers crossed"

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Hopefully it isn't going to mean missing too many games. But if we can keep him on the park Elliott can take up some slack until he is over the issue. |

I think De Goey will have sprain or syndesmosis. Sources not suggesting any break or op required at this stage. Ankles are terribly complex. So no good running me out of town on Twitter if incorrect! Itll be up to pies to officially confirm / clarify this afternoon. |

Strong whisper de Goey injury not overly bad. No breaks. Good news for all bc we want players like de Goey on the field. |

Collingwood's latest tweet:
"Aishy fit and firing during match sim today"
Well, that's good to know.

On the way to scans De Goey told a few people he had only rolled his ankle. He didn't think it was worse than that, so more positive prognosis now despite early fears he might have done something serious. |

We could always play Phillips out of the square. Powerful, composed, strong right foot kick, a jet off the mark and on the lead. |

My prediction is 4-6 weeks. He plays fromthe square so match fitness leading into round one not a major concern. _________________ Est. 2002 |
