Weakness

Strength,s

Where do we sit

More weakness than strength,s OR the other way

Using a player coming back from injury and leads to a Wills pass takes a mark under pressure (Wills to Elliot) showed commitment
A big strength which runs thru the entire group

I need to see more how this new 6-6-6 system works but after watching a few of the games in the JTL defence may cause us a issue
Isolating poor 1 on 1 defenders deep at centre bounces and clearing space in front of them could be a issue
If a team gets a clean clearance and can kick it quickly in to a open forward line then poor 1 on 1 defenders could be made look really bad
Our best 1 on 1 defenders for last season were Dunn and Scharenberg both of whom aren't available
Our worst 1 on 1 defenders were Langdon and Murphy but with fairness to Murphy he was a rookie and in fairness to Langdon he played the late part of the season and through the finals as a KPD which likley screwed his stats
Watching on the game against Freo it was notcibale that Freo tried to isolate both of them and did so with some success. Langdon gave up a couple free's in 1 on 1 contests and Murphy lost a couple as well
I don't think that's to be the case every week as that starting defence won't be the same come round 1
Also our midfield was missing a few pieces as well that will assist in our clearance efforts
If we get our best defenders out there and have defenders playing on players suited to there size it mightn't look as bad for us
I also wasn't impressed that much with Roughhead at FB but again he hasn't had much time to get used to our structure so hopefully he can improve a fair bit

QLD ::

Yes -well picked up & altho they traded in Roughead who is more a contested
stoppage type he is not as mobile as I thought and hope not but could be opened up —and Reid has slowed could have similar fate

One answer would be with return of Adams and JDG / Beams a floater in back line who can read play and negate these issues (Pendles)

Thoughts

I’ll say the ability to out mark opponents in a pack like situations also one on one in defence

Roughie ad Reid can hold their own majority of one on one but if they are a tad behind a quik player

Hey the team will cover those proposed (but yet not happened ) assumptions

We only have one ruckman
Shortage of KPF if Cox goes into ruck we have no KPFs
We have a few possible types like Lynch Mihocek
Shortage of KPD see last years GF to see problem
Maybe injuries will be reduced this year

Centre clearances
Defence
Too many defenders all going up and no one staying down
Front and centre crumbing all around the ground

our only glaring weakness is our theme song!

Oh the premiership's a "cakewalk".

I mean what does that even mean??????

believe me, it will cost us a grand final one day.
