Some puzzling decisions in the Vic/SA match, by Victoria.

1. Scott Boland has 45 wickets (second on the table, to Jackson Bird) and had played all nine SS matches, up till this one, but is a notable absentee, here.

I though, at first, he must be injured but he's playing as 12th. man in this match. Why ?

2. James Pattinson again ripped through the top order in both innings of this match. First innings, had 3/13, early and 2/1 from 4 overs, in the second. Why would you (Travis Dean) take off an opening bowler with such figures ? He didn't get another bowl for more than 20 overs. Even then, was taken off after 3 overs, with figures of 7 overs, 2/7.

Why ?

If he has a niggle, why play him ? Esp. with his long term history with injuries.
