Post subject: Shhhhhhhhhh!! Redevelopment of Victoria Park | |
|
Have heard a little whisper from a mole on Spring Street that our AFLW team will be the beneficiary of State Government support in the way of greatly enhanced facilities for our women's team at our traditional home at Victoria Park.
This is going to be wonderful for our players with the possible benefit for fans attending in better facilities for fans of our AFLW and VFL teams.

Victoria Park is desperate for an upgrade and I guess the football club is being very clever in getting the women to play there in order to get help from the State Govt to upgrade the facilities there. |

Agreed- Hopefully the announcement is made in the next few days and the spectator experience will be enhanced and our AFLW team has much better facilities to work out of on match days.

There were some works underway at the VFL on Sunday. One third of the seating in the Sherrin Stand had been temporarily removed. It seems that this was to allow access to the concrete, with some reinforcing bars now exposed.
Non-planned activities also evident with a very small section of the wall behind the Ryder Stand having fallen. The bricks had been stacked, so hopefully it’s fixed soon. |
