i think it's time Bucks permanently moves De Goey to the midfield. (with sporadic rests in the forward line). He will create much needed spark and dominate games coz he is ELITE. You can see it in his face , he wants the ball at all times. A midfield with De Goey, Adams and Maynard doing the coalface work with Treloar , Pendles and Sidey getting the outside run happening.
We must sacrifice De Goeys flawless forward line contribution and replicate it in the centre.

Could he just go in for centre clearances?

I'm of the opinion that he is currently of more value to us up forward - our current multitude of mids just have to man up and win some hard ball.

Not yet, there's apparently some ethical issues to be resolved with cloning humans, but with all the female athletes at the Holden centre, we could set up a breeding program Wink Razz

The problem is the midfield.
We lost the GF because of the midfield.
When Pendles gets tagged he isn't much chop.
Sidey is not cutting the mustard.
Grundy is palming the ball to the opposition
Why doesn't he just smash the ball forward about 40m.
We won't do any good with the current midfield.
Put JDG in with Maynard and Sier when fit.
Smash the opposition with the 3 young bulls.
And kick it long.
Those 3 can really get on the end of it.
FFS try something different.
Nothing different got done on saturday night.
Reminds me of those horror years when hawthorn beat us
with the same game plan year after year.

I’d drop Cox the next time we play WC and replace him with another mid, maybe TV. WHE in for JT too.

Not fit enough for the midfield... yet. As the season goes on, he'll rotate with Beams. I'd like to see Treloar go forward, he's lost a bit of his run, it was noticeable.

I wouldn't be moving our best forward into a permanent midfield role.

de Goey is capable of a 60 to 70 goal season.

Maynard is the one who needs to be given more opportunity.

Could drop Thomas bring in Appleby and get Maynard in at the Centre clearances. Does he have the tank for a permanent midfield role.

Still would like to use De Goey sporadically at Centre clearances as he is a bull and has burst speed and is hard to tackle.

I don't think we can afford to play him in the middle at this stage while he remains our best forward target.

The mids just need to step it up and start running both ways on a consistent basis.

His field kicking is a bit lazy as evident in the last qtr when he gave up a score (can’t recall if it was a goal or not).
Sier I’m when fit. We’re a bit too outside for mine and obviously the defensive running is an issue.
