Exasperating game.I’m exhausted from watching it.Grundy was huge and was probably the difference in the end.I don’t like the way we’re playing.its completely different to the way we were playing last year, and it’s not really working.

Played shit and won, beats rds 1 and 3 where we played shit and lost!

I dont know if its this stupid 6-6-6 rule, but footy seems so much slower and shitter than ever before this year

The set up was much better in the last stevo and billy deep and De Goey in the guts. Not sure if De Goey can be in the guts full time but maybe he goes to each CB then pushes forward.

We are 2-2 and haven’t played all that well in 3 games. Huge upside but our mids connection with Grundy is off and this keeping off footy is crap because we just increase our risk of turnovers.

We won because jdg went into the centre in the second half.
It allowed elliot to play forward and stevo to play forward flank.
Wise move by bux, but blind freddie could have seen that move.
Still we won, roll on next week.

Absolutely!!! Whatever this idea was to play him up the ground, scrap it!!!!!! He's brilliant at sneaking goals - please keep him there Bucks.

I have the feeling that we've been experimenting a bit with game plans so far this season. Trying to find a way of playing controlled football to match it against the Richmonds and Eagles. Please forget that idea Bucks. We have talent to burn and we thrived on chaos football last season. Taking the game on at all costs is the way, not trying to control the movement of the footy. We are great at that - it fires up all the players, brings out the best in them and they play instinctively and brilliantly when allowed to play their natural game.

BTW, Varcoe is worthy of selection simply for his inspirational attack on the game. He never, ever stops busting his guts, works his heart out and lays serious force against the opposition at every opportunity. Great leadership.

I think I have worked out what was going on tonight. I believe the plan was to give the Bulldogs ample opportunities to go inside 50 from Grundy palming it down to their mids and our mids taking a step back just so Rough & Darcy can get more game time to gel together. as our twin KPD's......does anyone buy that? Shocked

TP, he looked extremely sore and sorry after the game. Bucks had a very worried look on his face when speaking to him. . It's being said by commentators that he sustained a back injury of some sort, not just a corky. Poor bugar.

Which makes you realize that the win was better than it looked, missing Mayne for the entire game and being one down in rotations.

Yep
There is something wrong with the midfield.
The guy standing next to me said at 3 quarter time the hitouts were 41 to grundy and 4 to the dogs.
I don't know whether that was correct but all this year the midfield has been down even with grundy winning.
I would look at sidey and pendles.
They need to play more forward or back in my opinion
