"If ... Michael Christian assesses the incident as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact, Ablett will miss one week.

Ablett has never been reported for striking or suspended during his 328-game, 18-season career."

The scumpires are slaughtering Freo and have singlehandedly got Adelaide in front. The4y have to drop one of these dills if not all 3.

Findlay one of them. About he learnt the holding the ball rule. Or retire.A 50 metre penalty for throwing grass.

David King is trying hard not to give them a fair bake.

Despite the low scoring, Freo have also lost a fair bit of percentage, so ours is currently the second-highest in the comp, just ahead of GWS's.

On GAJ: his reaction immediately after the clash looked like he was upset with himself.

No. 23, Findlay, again? He was the umpire who made the controversial decision in Coll. vs. WC.

Mr Magic Betts seals it for Adelaide. Sublime snap from the pocket.

That was my point. They won kicking 7 goals and 2 were the result of ridiculous 50 metre penalties.

And the blonde bird who interviewed Walker. "One of the greatest games ever seen". Maybe by her. 3 goals in a half in perfect conditions and a perfect surface . I had to reach the rum earlier than normal.

It will be interesting to see what should be Dead Kennedy says about a few of the terrible errors by the umpires . The Betts non free can not be excused.

I think they need to bring back 15 metre penalties and leave the 50s for belting blokes after a mark or deliberate infringements.

Naughton takes his 9th contested mark and kicks his 5th goal. They tell us that's second only to Carey with 10.

How sad he's not a Pie (after growing up barracking for the Pies).

All marks:

"Aaron Naughton could become the best key forward in the competition

Or the best key back. Maybe even the best player, period. This bloke has superstar written all over him. Forget that he'd been in the midst of a quiet patch while being asked to lead a sputtering forward line and responded by clunking a mammoth nine contested marks – that's the equal-second highest tally since that stat has been recorded, by the way, behind only Wayne Carey. Forget his haul of 5.3 against powerhouse Richmond, including three in a flurry to start the second quarter to break the match open. Just look at these numbers. Naughton is 19. He's coming off his 25th career game. They say big men take time to develop. Not Naughton. He's fiercely competitive, thrives on a challenge, loves making defenders look silly and is already one of the most magnetic players in the AFL. What a jet."

Ablett banned for 1 game. afl.com.au says they are "almost certain" to appeal. The AFL must have Gleeson on their speed dial by now.
