On fox footy about his sis. No room for sentiment in footy maybe, but he just plays as far as I’m concerned. |
Yes.
I saw the interview he did with Neroli Meadows. She was holding back tears.
Varcoe plays next week. Too bad the game is in Sydney, but he was our BOG in that game last year.

Looks a lot like the belt the victor wears after a championship boxing bout.
it's black and white so i'll like it, I guess. Lets hope its an omen for us this year _________________ There's only two types of supporter, Collingwood and those that wish they were. |

Travis back this week. Good work Bucks and Co. I’ve no doubt the selectors wanted him in there for the same reasons we did. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

I don't think there's any precedence for it, but I would have liked to see the club ask the league to allow him to skip a game and sit out one week later on compassionate grounds. |

Thought the jumper looked great, our best design yet.
We're long overdue for a highly visibile and appropriate statement on this front.
Would receive my vote as a permanent away strip. Maybe the 2018 magpie design on the back if it reflected accordingly. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

The symbolism behind the jumper is heartwarming, but I wouldn't want it to be a permanent away jumper.
In my opinion, I thought our 2017 indigenous guernsey was our best indigenous jumper design thus far since this has become an annual tradition from five years back. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

With a magpie, it's great as a training guernsey, but I don't know about it as a playing guernsey. |

That's a fascinating idea! Of course, clubs would love to be able to use such a rule for, say, grand finals.
Even if that had been possible, I think ultimately the game could never be too much about one player. And I don't think Varcoe would have wanted that, either. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

David, maybe they seriously should think about it. Not for hits behind the play or out of play, etc. But for accidents, if it's worth 1 week, let the GF club have the option of 4 weeks with a delay of 1 week.
At the moment, they just make excuses to give them 0 weeks. Of course it never happens for us (Cloke, Rocca), only for others (Hall, etc.). |
