For the 8th week in a row Collingwood is on the Australian Channel for those in the Asia-Pacific area. Best I stock uo on raisin bread for a toast and coffee start. I will crack a beer when we get 10 goals up which judging by today could be quarter time.

Jarryd Roughead dumped! Shocked

It's a lot easier for Clarkson to make tough decisions in selection and list management, because there's not the same level of fan hysteria as there is at our club.

Yeah, hard to argue that a four time premiership coach doesn't know what he's doing.

Yeah, hard to argue that a four time premiership coach doesn't know what he's doing.

And even if some decisions turn out "wrong", at least make them for the "right" reasons, not because the club is subconsciously worried about fan backlash. (Sometimes a club gets lucky that way. They claim Geebung chose GAJ partly because they knew there would be a riot if they didn't. No credit to Geebung, then, for the way GAJ turned out.)

"A BIZARRE act from Swan Dane Rampe after the final siren could have cost his side the game as Bomber David Myers lined up for a set-shot from well outside the 50m arc.

Behind-the-goals vision has highlighted Rampe trying to climb the goal post to boost himself upwards in case Myers' kick threatened the goal line.

Under AFL rule 17.11, a free kick shall be awarded against a player or official who intentionally shakes a goal or behind post (either before or after a player has disposed of the football).

Although Rampe was not deliberately shaking the post, his decision to climb up the post could have constituted a free kick and a shot for goal for Essendon from directly in front."

I hope our boys know basic rules... You're not allowed to build human pyramids with your teammates either.

"Seven claimed to have checked with umpires boss Hayden Kennedy and reported that officials had reviewed the footage and were aware of what had occurred but were comfortable that no action was taken because it did not affect the kick.

Kennedy reportedly conceded another umpire may have interpreted the events differently."

Did Kennedy say anything about the Barry Crockers in the Freo-Crows games. They missed a 50 metre that was pretty much what Stevo did. I have said before. They need an umpires coach who was a players coach. Might be a job for someone like Luke Ball . Or Peter Sumich.
If the Orient Express at full speed went up Kennedys bum he wouldn't know it until all the passengers wanted out.

That said the 100 metre penalty they did pay was 100 percent correct.

Essendon lost it because they "managed" Joe Daniher who has hardly played all year. I know fancypants or whatever he calls himself licked a few but they needed a decent contesting mark up forward.

I don't think that's a magic cure. They had Gieschen before. They had P. Schwab before.
