Who's currently in the team that's about to hang up the boots? He wouldn't come to the Pies to play VFL.

If Murray gets a couple of years and we have already rookied him can we get another player like Ed to play whilst Sam suspended (we did with Thomas)

Before his suspension over either or both Goldy and Wells be retired

We have a few players 31 and over. I dont think we have the trade chips to satisfy Freo anyway.

But why wouldn't you bring in a 23 year old that, after Fyfe, is Freo's best player? And someone that being a brother of a player thats on the list, already has some report with some of the current list? Like I said, theres a few older guys on the list that wont be around next year or the year after and Pendles, Beams and Sidey are not getting any younger either.

I think what you're saying tho, is he'll go from being the second best player at Freo to the tenth best here. So Ed himself might not want to come here. Which is fair to say.

If he continues his form through 2019, we won't be able to afford him. I suspect we'll have a huge salary cap squeeze.

We shall shed close to $3,000,000 in October with:

* Wells
* Goldsack
* Murray
* Dunn
* Varcoe
* Reid
* Crocker

most likely in their final seasons.

Has been dropped by the Dogs this week.

Cant see him in our best 22 right now. But many our best players are all 28+.

Very doubtful the Dogs would trade him, but what would the cost be?

If that group of players is even earning 2,000,000 between them then our football manager should be given the arse

I calculate that lot would take up about $2.1 Million from Collingwoods salary cap this year.
