How come you don't put the teams up like you used to Donny?
This thread, and I thought you also put it up on the pre-game day thread too? Top of each page in the thread wasn't it? _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Got the 10.15 Jetstar to Syd and full to busting with Maggie supporters
They took a while to load and the crowd were wanting to do a lynching when
a Scum supporter snuck on board with the humans

Bit of danger game with our makeshift backs. Hopefully buddy isn’t right to go otherwise he may kick a handful. Hopefully mids get on top and deny the supply. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

This is a game where we have excuses before we start. If we lose its the injuries, plain and simple. I suspect that is the mindset of a lot around here.
However good teams win these games regardless. If we want to be the best we need to win these games - that is all.
Having said that if we lose its not the end of the world - we are definitely around the mark and have a lot of improvement in us.

Anyone have membership barcodes they are willing to share if not attending the game? I'm not a member and general admission is sold out.
Thanks in advance. |

On form we should spank them, we just need to make sure its not a low scoring game and I think we'll be fine.

Madgen on Buddy is giving me nightmares again of what happened last year.
Think we'll get the job done, but the Swans are a dour team to watch so it wouldn't surprise me if they drag us down to their level again. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Be prepared for a thrashing in the second quarter and perhaps going into half time well behind.
But Sydney haven't turned up in the 2nd half for most of this year, and have offered zip in the last quarter. So I expect the Pies to surge home in their typical 2019 style.
Only unknown is Buddy - will he make a difference? In the past he made a habit of winning games off his own boot in the last quarter. But that was the Buddy of games past. The 2019 version might be tad bit creaky. Hope so. If not it will be a final term shoot out which the Pies are well equipped to win. |

As long as Buddy plays like a second-rate VFL player, everything will be fine. |

i don't have a strong vibe that we will win, but neither do I have a sense of foreboding that we will lose. That is probably because subconsciously I have weighed up the situation, and find it to be quite even. We have a seriously weakened line up, but still plenty of firepower and talent, and the addition of Wells brings a new dimension to our F50 scoring potential. Magden on Franklin seems a risk, but on the other hand my confidence in our selection processes has grown immeasurably over the last year, and I believe that he has been selected because he is up for the challenge, and we have a structure in place to support him in defence. Winning tonight would be an awesome achievement, because it would demonstrate now that we have reached the stage where we can win despite a serious loss of quality personnel.
Good luck to both Rupert Wills and Jack Magden, and to Daniel Wells. Hope they all contribute to an outstanding victory. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Can we stop calling Franklin "Buddy". Its not his name, he's not one of us and of less importance to you all - it annoys me. _________________ kymbo |
