Yes, Shawee will get the job at North now. I reckon they'll be a real danger team next season.

3-year deal ...

They have rolling one-year contracts at North, but for a new coach they've added a startup two years, so after that it'll be rolling.

Well done Rhys Shaw. Very happy for the lad. Now have a good 3 years at North and come back to win a flag for the Pies. Very Happy

Gives hope to other recent retired players to keep their resumes' ready such as:

* Adelaide: Eddie Hocking
* Brisbane: Ben Hudson
* Carlton: Barnaby French
* Essendon: Dean Wallis
* Freo: Clive Waterhouse
* Geelong: Bill Brownless

Not sure if Rhyce is worth the hype. This is a North Melbourne list that finished 9th last year with 12 wins, and his record is 4-4 so sign him up without due process? Nuts. They have underachieved this year for their talent, and he's the answer based on that? We'd be absolutely screaming if that happened here. As we did for how many years...

Congrats to Rhyce, but yeah... this could backfire spectacularly.

Which of our hires in history has followed due process, Cam? The search for our current CEO looks like it did. Any others?
