Being investigated for an incident on Friday night. 2 nights before their game, he's had a few drinks too many.
Lots of stuff being thrown around, but nothing official. It seems there's nothing about a fight or anything like that, just that he got a bit piddly.
Ok so he had a coupe drinks. Probably not the best look when your club is 1-9. But he's had a few drinks and the media might go after him.
Will he be dropped?
I guess we'll wait for all the info. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

No.
He probably shouldnt be drinking a couple nights out from a game, but sheesh, he hasnt acted like an arsehole (also known as doing "The Fev") and he hasnt killed anyone. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

He's been dropped to the VFL.
Admitted to having "three of four glasses" of wine.
At 31 years of age, he's played 91 games for Carlton. There's 12 games left in Carltons season, including this weeks clash vs Essendon.
Will he make 100 club games? Will he get another year at Carlton? How many games will he be in the VFL for? We'll have to see. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

I would be drunk every night if I had to play for Carlton _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Really, Jezza? If right now, as you are now, Carlton offered you a spot on their list at minimum wage, would you not accept it? |

But Peter insists on it being known that he did not transfer straight from Collingwood to Carlton. He was out of the VFL and when he returned... Well, I can't remember the details. Our club didn't want to make it happen for him to return or something... |

^ I wasn't aware of the circumstances. I automatically assumed he just switched clubs but further research says he retired from VFL football at the end of 1975 due to losing part of a kidney in the reserves.
He later played a year with the Devonport Magpies in Tasmania in 1976 where he regained his confidence and mojo.
He seemed willing to rejoin Collingwood in 1977, but the club was unwilling to pay big money for him so instead he opted to join Carlton for the season before finishing up from VFL football at the end of 1977. Fitzroy and South Melbourne also made offers to him, but he rejected them. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

For Carlton, 1977: 11 games, 36 goals, 23 behinds.
R5 vs. Collingwood (ouch): 3 goals. |

It was actually round 6. Anyway, that was one of Collingwood's greatest days. A 102 point thrashing of the enemy (at the time, it was Carlton's biggest ever loss). Unlike the day we won by 108 against a hopeless Blues line up in 2002, have a look at who was in that Carlton team:
https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1977/030419770507.html
Coming into that game, Carlton had lost only 1 game (a narrow loss to the previous year's premiers) and, despite the flogging at our hands, were still 6 and 2 after 8 rounds, so that was some performance. |

Apparently there's people out there saying he should never play for the club again.
With 91 games for the Blues, he might fail to get to 100 for the club.
I wonder if theres anyone out there that'd have him back at Collingwood for a year? It's a big no from me. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
