Why compare with those two players, though? Charlie is being paid more than Ads and has a contract as long as or longer than any of our players (5 years).

BECAUSE THAT'S THE TWO PLAYERS WE GAVE UP BY TRADING OUR TWO FIRST ROUNDERS AWAY!

But GWS didn't pick Charlie. (Really, we'd need to know who Dekka would have picked. Would he have gone for Charlie?) And if we go the other way in our alternative universe, is J. Berry really the best available by the time of the other GWS pick? That's a bit surprising.

Tired of the Treloar bashing. He was an out and out gun when we got him -- and ripping both hamstrings from the bone changed him into a different player. He no longer has the dash, the kicking penetration, everything that made him such a great player. Calling it a dud trade -- and worse, calling Treloar a dud -- is pretty insulting considering the severity of the injury he sustained.

So please, give it a rest! It was a good trade at the time and unless you were Psychic Sally, no one could have foreseen the injuries that would cripple him. Sit down and watch footage before and after his injury, it's Arthur and Martha, really eye-opening.

And it had to be a $£$%^%%$ Carlton player who gave him a shove on the run, in the dying minutes of a game we had wrapped up and won...

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, being pushed in the lower back while kicking is one of the most dangerous acts in AFL and should be reportable. It’s a weak act, a white flag shove out of frustration, and has ruined too many backs/strings.
