Are we likely to miss the 8?

I don't think we will but what do others think? Dropping out of the top 4 is real possibility if Saturday night's game is anything to go by.

If we can get our best back come September I still think we're a good chance to win the GF even if from 5-8.

The Stephenson saga has thrown the proverbial spanner in the works.

Would be highly unlikely yet- a legitimate possibility- especially if we continue playing as we have the past 2 months- we have won something like 8-9 quarters over past 8 weeks.

Well, it's not like we haven't been there before. We missed the finals from 8–3 in 2014 and 2015, and Port Adelaide missed the finals from 11–4 last year. We're at 10–4 now. I would say that, if we play like we did against North every week for the rest of the season, we will miss out; but, then, there would hardly be much point in making finals anyway.

Otherwise, there are enough winnable games against teams like Richmond, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Essendon for us to coast through and squeeze in in the lower half of the top 8. I expect us to at least do that. But we'd probably need a significant change in form to stay in the top 4, at this rate.
