Well done to Rhys Shaw in overwhelming Hawthorn after giving them a 27 point head start in his first game as the official coach of the Kangaroos. Also well done to Rhys shaw for burying Dawkthorn. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Here we are at Spud Central (formerly known as Marvel Stadium), where clowns in Essendon and Port Adelaide jumpers are warming up the crod throwing pies at each other and falling over - but wait, no, that's the game (that's a game - it's more like watching the re-enactment of a kindergatern prank) - and it's 7 all with half the quarter gone.
No, make that 2 to 7 - Essendon's goal was a point. |

And now Port have a second - the game is still a joke - but some of the Essendon supporters aren't seeing the humour. |

Darcy Parish showed his groundskills with beautiful clearance work in the last line of defence that will have a crowd of recruiters gasping and a shocking henadball turnover under no pressure that set up a goal that will have a crowd of recruiters turn away. Port have their third. Essendon, of course, have a goal from a free kick. |

Essendon are, it seems, "struggling in the absence of star bigman McKernan". When did he stop being "Adelaide de-listed stumblebum" and become "star bigman"? Are Essendon really that bad?
Those are rhetorical questions, of course. |

Thorold Merrett's grandson gets a goal running thoguh on his left to clean up for Essendon after their bloke wearing number 1 dropped a chest mark standing on his own directly in front 40 metres out.
Anyway, some Essendon backman just pushed Robbie Gray in the face as he was set to take a mark in kicking range. Naturally, as the best player on either side, he slotted it and Port lead 25 to 15.
Please, Donny or Jezza or K (or frankly anybody) - take this over, so I don't have to keep watching. |

And in the next incisive forward thrust, 4 Essendon defenders flay against each other and bring the ball to ground for the 5 Port players who were watching - unfortunately, even though it is only 15 metres from goal, the ball lands with someone other than Gray, so Port lead 26 to 15. |

And Essendon reply with a charge straight at goal and a big OOTF. |
