just doing a poll:

which venues do you prefer:

Subiaco v optus
footy park v adl oval
homebush Olympic stadium v scg

mines are subbie footy park and scg

best surface is adl oval worst is scg but I like scg as it has character
best shaped ground footy park its similar to old wavery park which I liked a lot too back in the day

SCG is better than the hell hole known as ANZ stadium.
(I reckon Giants stadium is better than SCG though).

Adelaide oval much better than footy park.

Havent been to Optus but Subi was a ground in dire need of major upgrades or replacing.

I loved Footy Park, never understood the hate of the ground. Plus we never lost there when I went!

Also in the minority of not minding ANZ either. Been there a few times for different events and all been good experiences

I can't comment on the others but Adelaide Oval has something special. Its really close to the City and all the public transport and easy to get in and out of.

The crowd noise seems like twice as many people as what is actually there. The hill with huge Morton Bay fig trees is unique in stadiums these days adds to the character of the place.

It has pretty good views from most spots ( a few restricted view seats is not good though)

From the outside it looks much smaller than its capacity. It has interesting designs for each of the 'pavilions' rather than a huge concrete circle all the way around.

Subi was great, saw the mighty Swan Districts win 3 flags in a row there 82-84, some great State of Origin games and one of the best games by an individual when Andrew Krakouer led Swans to another flag in 2010, abley assisted by a 17 yo Steve Coniglio and a side not given a chance.

Was such a pity that it was filled with the chardonnay set from the end of last century... the most; ignorant, clueless and precious bunch of so called footy fans you will find in any code, anywhere in the world.
