Terrible news. Let's hope recovery recovery is quick. We need him for the first final. (Yet another soft tissue injury).

Is ruptured testicle the new "in" thing for injuries? Why 2 in one season? The new achilis injury?

All clear on the injury front for the first time all season from a game of football...and then we lose our reigning Copeland Trophy winner with a training mishap.

Believe in curses, people. There’s no other explanation.

Broken ball. My goodness.

Will be playing week one of the finals without a game in 3 weeks.

I haven't worked out how the first one in real play happened. Maybe if they gave slo mo video, it'd help. The bit of footage they showed had the victim chasing his opponent. I can only guess that the opponent's "backlifted" foot as he went to kick the ball did the damage. Anyone know?

That’s exactly what happened.
Thompson “ only “ missed a week. The area has to be drained and then it’s about the bruising settling down.
He’s gone in today and we don’t play a final for another two and half weeks.
I’m no doctor but having been around footy clubs for a long while, if it’s not extreme, he should be about right for the first final.
I was actually talking about his durability to a mate the other day, so I take full responsibility for this one.
