She should have followed Dans lead and as soon as they start investigating you, cut their funding!!!

He's offered to take Gladys' job, too. Our Dan can do it all!

Maybe we can parachute her into the Victorian Liberals, give them the enema they need and give Dan some real competition.

That would be ok except the reverse is true. NSW government voted down increased funding for ICAC early this year.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/7news.com.au/politics/nsw-icac-73m-funding-boost-voted-down-c-2831072.amp

Victorian government has increased funding to IBAC.
https://www.themandarin.com.au/156071-ibac-gets-funding-boost-in-response-to-lawyer-x-royal-commission-findings/

If you've got information to the contrary I'd love to hear it. I'd like to see further funding for both and increased power for IBAC. A federal ICAC would be even better. Then again, that'd wipe out half the current cabinet.

Well that was after they’d cut the funding in the last budget, as well as the funding to the Ombudsman.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-12-09/ibac-boss-expresses-concern-about-adequacy-of-funding/12966540

Although the article you posted doesn’t say how much extra IBAC will get, whether it’s the 4.4 million they cut or more on top of that.

You might want to be a little more careful in accepting press releases from opposition leaders, particularly when they quote budget papers in a misleading way. The 4.4 million 'cut' was due to an underspend by IBAC in the previous two years. Under the budgeting system they are required to being this forward and the equivalent comes out of appropriations. This is clear from IBACs annual report which states the following for 2019/2020:
INCOME
IBAC receives its funding from government as a grant. Income
or grant funding increased by 6.5 per cent in 2019/20 which
was due to a corresponding increase in expenditure. This
includes $567,000 in conference fees which IBAC collected
from delivering the Australian Public Sector Anti-corruption
Conference which was a once-off event and $3.3 million
funding to cover depreciation expenses. IBAC had access
to $4 million prior year unspent funds that was used to
supplement the 2019/20 recurring budget. From 1 July
2020 onwards IBAC will be budget independent and will be
funded through a parliamentary appropriation.

So much for the Gladys-is-a-victim narrative. And to think some people were trying to convince us that an overzealous ICAC was the problem here!

She's scheduled to take the stand today, which should be fairly funny.

In a weird moment that, frankly, should embarrass all concerned, the hearing has been adjourned while they fix the public live stream.
