Might make sense to bring him in the team after the bye or thereabouts.
We don't have much depth in defence but Madge will be ready in about 3 weeks I think.

Think he more Wait for After the Bye to Possibly Debut at AFL Level |
We need to remember, it was only 12 months ago he was playing in the Sunraysia comp. His skills may be thereabouts but hes still got a bit to do before he’s AFL fit. |

| Like him to play on the half forward line by the sound of it he can kick those 50m goals which we need players to do long racking kick and a great forward option |

He has had little exposure really to the competition he now enters
He has to first learn our system—sure I’d like to see him on the big stage but old “More haste-less speed” could apply
One thing was impressive tho was the long bomb goal from 55 out
Hope he has that in his every day bag of tricks

At the risk of being a wet blanket, I don’t think we should rush him into the seniors until he settles in and performs well in the seconds. Confidence is really important to new players. Hopefully he will be a great pick up.

| Given that the talls we were apparently interested in went early to other clubs, I'm glad we didn't just pick a tall for the sake of it. After all, we should soon have Grundy, Dean, Kelly and Johnson available, so we will have numerous tall options at the ready. From the highlights package, Josh Carmichael looks a beauty. Another big bodied midfielder, who is a thumping kick. Reckon we might have picked up a gem. |

| According to Dekka, Josh is currently 191cms. Bontempelli is 193 cms for comparison. |
