All sounds very “Leading Teams”-like to me. Doesn’t always work, destroyed the Crows. I like the ‘Fly method’ better.

| Coaching has changed. Under the late Slug Jordan, it was brutal and you dealt with it or got out. That coaching method would see him banned in the current system. I see a lot of teachers as coaches these days and they approach it differently. |

| Sam Mitchell was all about starting from ground zero when he replaced Clarkson. He managed to get rid of Shields, OMeara and Gunston who were all Clarkson disciples. Only Breust and Tom Mitchell we’re left of the old brigade and in the short term, it was Tom Mitchell who was considered much more expendable and less of a favourite son than Breust. No problem with a new coach wanting change but it was the way Sam went about pushing Tom out the door that was both unsavoury and very childish. |

Total agreement - witness the contrast between Tom getting the bums rush from the pee and poo and the respect shown to Tay here.
Just makes me even prouder to look at our fresh new club - not new in personnel but up to date with current thinking unlike Sam the dinosaur. |
