Great win by the Pies.

Goals: Weston, Sargent, Ricardo, Bates, Dojiok

Top disposals: Bates 25, Nikolitsis 24

Pies back in the top 6, currently 3rd.
With the closeness of the competition this season, the Pies still need to win next week to ensure they play finals.

Pies are actually 2nd on the ladder on percentage.

Port are on top by 2 points.

Teams 2-6 are on equal points.

Pies 8.8.56 defeated North 3.5.23

Goals: De Matteo 4, Dojiok 2, Zander, Ricardo 1

Top disposals: Bates 20, De Matteo, Jackson 15

Pies currently 2nd on the ladder pending the result of the final game of the round, Port vs Casey.

Good win by the Pies, the last two weeks they have hit their straps after a couple of indifferent games.

Wet conditions in the first quarter made it difficult to handle the ball but the Pies were able to move the ball forward and lead at the 1st break. Rain cleared in teh 2nd qtr but it was still a battle with lots of ball ups. Pies should have been more in front at half time missing a couple of shots on goal. Pies also down a rotation losing Kane to concussion.

As expected, North came out running in the third qtr and kicked a couple of quick goals. North were better roving and at ground level and were quicker with their ball movement. Pies are not the fastest team and can get beaten by quicker running teams. Pies lead at 3qtr time was 7 points but North looked the better of the teams at the final break.

Lights were on and rain had cleared in the final qtr and the Pies got their sh*t together. Good defensive work by Jackson and Lee and the Pies were able to keep the ball in their forward line. Dojioks marking had been good all game and was now proving a handfull for North. Norths run had slowed - they had a few injuries - and the Pies finally were able to rove the ball, scoring from a stoppage. 4.3 to 0.7 in the final qtr.

Have a feeling its bring your own food and drinks.

If there was an entry fee then there may have been a food truck there and 1 bar open.

Methinks sadly there wont be a big turn out either to the game.

Have not heard any promotion on the game either.

Be less then 60 people there at vic park.
