I sometimes get confused with navigation between these 3 websides when I'm clicking on menu links.
Sometimes the destination click is not obvious, or is absent:

● You can't get to Match Centre from the Collingwoodfc website
● Navigation from AFL website to VFL match centre is via the triple line menu.

I want to share and show here that simple typing can get to where you want to quicker.

AFL Home or Match Centre
https://www.afl.com.au (access AFL match via match strip when available)
https://www.afl.com.au/matches (AFL Match Centre to all matches)

VFL Home or VFL Match Centre
https://www.afl.com.au/vfl (access VFL match via match strip when available)
https://www.afl.com.au/vfl/matches (VFL Match Centre to all matches)

Collingwood Teams (Squads)
https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/teams/afl
https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/teams/vfl

By the way:
Nick's VFL Magpies forum for 2023

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For example I'm interested in the progress of players such as Ash Johnson and Will Kelly in the VFL match
this week, Round 1, Collingwood vs Coburg Lions.

Go to AFL home by typing https://www.afl.com.au
Click on the triple line menu
Select VFL/VFLW
Click on the match strip COFC/COB takes you to Match Centre for this match

OR
Type https://www.afl.com.au/vfl/
Click on the match strip COFC/COB takes you to Match Centre for this match

OR
Type https://www.afl.com.au/vfl/matches for general VFL Match Centre for all matches
Click on the Round number if greater than round 1
Find the desired match Collingwood vs Coburg Lions by scrolling
Select it by clicking on it

Re the VFL, is that anything like simply downloading the VFL app ?
Gives you live comprehensive updates on all player stats during the game.

The above OP applies to the relationship between websites using a computer or could be
webpages using a browser on a mobile.
A downloaded app may work well, I don't know but is a different fixed pathway.
Personally, I don't allow any apps on my mobile, just bare bones.

^^^

Ok, gotcha.
Well for those who do download apps on their mobile, I strongly recommend the VFL app as a good tool to keep up to speed with our VFL teams performances.

There's no doubt about it, finding VFL stuff is all over the place!

Here is this week's Round 2 teams and report - Port Melbourne vs Collingwood
https://www.afl.com.au/news/892758/teams-smithy-s-vfl-round-2

"All eyes will be on ETU Stadium on Saturday night when Collingwood livewire Jack Ginnivan makes his return to football in the Magpies’ Smithy’s VFL showdown against Port Melbourne.

It will be the 20-year-old’s first VFL game since Round 13, 2021 after he established himself as a key part of Collingwood’s run to the 2022 AFL preliminary final with 40 goals in 22 matches.

The Magpies thrashed Coburg by 92 points last week and have also had the luxury of including AFL omission Reef McInnes, Josh Carmichael and Gold Coast recruit Oleg Markov, with Ash Johnson being promoted, Jake Long suffering a hamstring injury and Campbell Lane and Ben Silvagni being unlucky omissions from a team that features 15 AFL-listed players".

Or, you know, you could just to our VFL forum, where it's all posted - here's the thread for round 2, with the AFL match site for the stats and the streaming link: https://www.magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=91681
