I think Sier now gets more game time in the first couple weeks. Good chance to see if he has improved. _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty |

He is going to need to play more minutes, without Adams.
In the GF Sier played about 45mins. _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty |

I’m sure he will be missed but mids are more by numbers this year
Most lines have back ups
But if we want to wring our hands and cry about a real loss
It would be Grundy—of him we only have one of a kind _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Adams is one midfielder that I would want there every game! His tackling pressure and hard ball gets are second to none and by my view the best in the comp. We don't realize how much we will miss him against the Tigers. He alone was a spine in the armour of the Tigers in that Prelim. Still that hard edge can be covered by Sier and Greenwood. |

Mossi you summed it up and I’ve said this several times in posts
Last year a player falls only to have another stand up and do well
That was in essence the for me the most important feature—mates helping mates _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

It doesn't much matter. He had a very slow start to 2018 (after, I think, a hampered pre-season) and didn't really influence games in the first half of the year. He gradually picked up momentum from about round 12 on. His Brownlow votes all came between rounds 15 and 22. All of his 30+ disposal games, all of his big clearance numbers and 13 of his 16 goals assists for the year came from round 12 on. They can cover his work for the early part of the year, provided he gets back. |

We did without Shaz—Dunne —Howe —Treloar and throw in Goldy Moore Reid
Elliott Wells etc
We made a GF—sure it’s bad news but we will deal with it
Hang ya head and weep. I won’t cos I believe in them and what they are capable of —I’ve seen it with my own eyes
Surely you can see something special at Collingwood _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Get better soon Tay, We need you, for leadership and skills. but most importantly, get better properly and fully. cheers |
I didnt think we had any Shaw's on our list. Only Brown's, Daicos's, Kelly's and Moore's!!! Do you know something we dont? _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

i think you might be overlooking the significance of his absence in our early season struggles. Him and DeGoey. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Believe it or not, both Aish and Brown are capable of playing the Tay Adams role. Now i don't expect either of them to get the nod to do that (since Pendles, Beams, Treloar, Sier and others are ahead of them in terms of midfield depth), but both have exceptionally good hands in the clinches and both are very good at getting their hands on the ball in those in and under situations.
In the case of Aish in particular, Tay Adams has been the biggest impediment to his development as he has had to adapt to the wing/HBF role as the only way to get a game. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Big loss for the early part of the season.
It makes the addition of Beams all the more important. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

His very best football is A grade level these days, he appears the natural successor to Pendlebury as Captain and in the Grand Final was clearly our best performed midfielder.
