As it stands, going into this game we're a game and % out of the 8.
https://www.afl.com.au/ladder?Competition=7&CompSeason=55&GameWeeks=821&ShowBettingOdds=1&Live=0
Sandringham have won 3 games this season so we should walk away with points and a percentage boost.
1 game clear ahead of us is GWS, who play the ladder leadering Suns which will help our cause.
Bulldogs and Carlton whom are also a game ahead of us play 20th and 15th placed sides respectively. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

I hope we rookie list this Eyre kid, I really like his work down back. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yeah he’s put in a few solid performances down back. Can mark, spoil and kicks well. Good size and not too light for a KPD role. Definitely worth considering in the rookie or SSP. Could be a MSD prospect next year otherwise if he keeps going. Would be a shame to find a KPD in the VFL and then lose them to another team. He’s had stints with Essendon and the Saints. Hope he keeps improving and gets a shot. _________________ Premiership Pies made it legendary in 2023, don’t let them forget it. #Go PIES 2024…. |

Pretty strong team named for our VFL, could be the strongest all year. 10 or 11 have played AFL this year. _________________ Premiership Pies made it legendary in 2023, don’t let them forget it. #Go PIES 2024…. |

Didn't watch the whole game, but watched over half.
Ginnivan was very good. 2.3 with 28 disposals.
Macrae 26, 1.1, Bianco 26, Allan 25, and Carmichael 31 were all very solid.
Ryan and Ruscoe in defense was great.
Harrison looked dangerous but didnt hit the scoreboard, had 18 disposals.
Ash was good with 2 goals. Kreuger presented all day but didnt hold the marks.
Frampton was elite down back.
Kelly really struggled, Wilson was just ok, and Murley and Richards didnt do much, but both kicked a goal.
Begg/Steene just ok.
McInnes didnt do much, went through the middle occasionally. Finished with 14 disposals.
Arlo Draper quiet off half back. _________________ "That was out-of-bounds" |

Just to add to the above, Ginnivan was really impressive. Played as a high half forward and on ball. Loved his endeavour and should’ve kicked four. I really hope he knuckles down during the pre season because he showed he’s more than a one trick pony.
Not a day for big men but Frampton was very good. Johnson was typically Johnson. Not a lot of the footy but kicked two and gave a couple off.
I’m very impressed with our first two picks from the 2022 N D, Allen and Ryan. Allen is one of those very creative types who always looks to move the ball forward with damaging long handballs or neat kicks to the best option. Ryan is a beauty, he plays like Maynard. Tough and runs in straight lines and judges the flight of the ball really well. I hope they try him further up the ground next year because he looks ready but it’s such a hard backline to get into.
The TV coverage showed a number of opposition club list managers and talent spotters at the ground. There will be a lot of interest in a number of our fringe players during the post season. |
