Cox needs a run in the VFL.
But he has had little game time.
Seems to spend half his time on the bench.
And remember he is a ruckman not a forward.
He has kicked a lot more goals this year than Cameron

Cameron is getting his Mojo back,
I think Cox can go out, and Frampton in.

**I think Framton didn't fare well as a forward, but the Howe swing had a purpose.

Agree Lipinski has not hit his straps yet, but he is getting there.
I expect Hill In, Markov out.

I don't see anyone in the ressies who MUST come in, but many who CAN come in and deserve a game. But I don't know who to drop.

Johnson kicks 4 4... I guess a must. But for McStay or Checkers ? It could be WHE, but he does more than Johnson outside 50.

Carmichael, would get a game in most bottom sides, but not better enough to replace anyone in our side.

Ginnivan, has to do better more often. Being an opportunist is his strength, but Hill adds much more in other areas.

Kelly, jeez did he just save his career against Carlton.

Bianco, 32 possessions, playing as a sweeper.. that's his game, but we have Noble, and NDaicos.

Ruscoe was solid again... as was Murphy.

McInnes, showed some strength and speed and skill away from goals, a work in progress which is looking very promising. Allan is trending the same way. And Ryan has a spot in the future.

Johnson on his 4 4 is the stiffest.

re: selection, I can't help but feel that multiple changes this week are warranted. It's not about panicking and throwing the baby out with the bathwater – and we certainly don't want to tinker around too much right before finals – but the fact is that a number of players performed poorly against Carlton and we need to keep spots in the team competitive. So I wouldn't be overly upset to see three or four changes, as some here are suggesting.

Re McInnes - I have noted o a number of postings that Reef needs to be on the ball/upfield and not anchored in the forward line. I watched the VFL and was delighted with his game which he should be allowed to build on.

Ive had it with Lipinski. He was overwhelmed by Carlton's pressure and his butchery skills are almost in the Taylor Adams class.

Just from the highlights it looks like Johnson and him have a good on field chemistry

We were slow in the midfield against Carlton and need to inject more pace into the side. Bobby Hill is a must to come back into the side. Cox hasn't done enough to keep his spot and WHE's position in the team is questionable as well since Markov plays the same role as WHE.

So my two outs are Cox and WHE and we basically have four players to choose from to include against Hawthorn:

Hill, Frampton, Johnson and Ginnivan. Maybe we should include all four and find another two to drop.

Don't see any real reason to swing the axe. If the players are fresh enough following final training I'd run with the same starting 22.
This time last week everyone was championing the line-up we went with, and the expectation of what they would deliver.
Mid match, then post match there were howls for change.
I'm more of the view let the coaches coach, and I reckon the players will respond.

Maybe one change, Johnson in for Cox.
Mind you, that Lewis is a brute, as is Ryan so I won't be surprised if Frampton comes in for Cox to give us some additional height collateral down back.

Are concerned that our current injury free situation will be different one in say 3 or 4 weeks.

We still have augst to go.

We are injury free now but say in 3-4 weeks time?

To me we dont beat hawks then theres something wrong.

Pies has to win and win well tipping 50 points win at least.

I’ve just asked the Magic 8. No injuries.

The last month hasn't been good for Mason. Unfortunately I think he needs a spell at the expense of Frampton. Billy can play back and free up Howe across the forward line.

Elliott and Checkers were both down on the weekend. Good to see McStay play well.

Johnson, Howe, Checkers should be our talls up forward, with Hill, Elliott and Ginnivan.
