It’s confirmed now that we’ll finish 8th and play the winner of today’s match between Richmond and North Melbourne in the pre-finals knock-out round next weekend, if I’m looking at the ladder correctly. Win that and we go through to the finals proper the week after.
Do we have a preferred match-up out of those two? _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Worth noting that a win to Richmond means Carlton miss out!
(If North Melbourne win, Carlton finish 10th and qualify for the wildcard round. Otherwise, Richmond finish 9th and North finish 10th.)
Richmond currently lead 25–19 late in the second term. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

It’ll be Richmond, by the looks of things – leading by 25 points halfway through the last quarter. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

For the VFL watchers - what are our chances against the Tigers? _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

I was wondering that. Amazingly, we don’t seem to have played them yet this season! (Not sure how that works – surely with 21 teams everyone could play each other once?)
We got thrashed by North earlier in the season, though, so I guess better the devil you (don’t) know! _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Yep, we haven’t played the Tigers this year.
That is the ridiculousness of the VFL fixture, don’t play everyone once and have 4 byes.
Pies will go into the game with a couple of big wins compared to the Tigers.
Will come down to the team we can field - if McInnes and/or Ruscoe get called to the AFL that will put a dent in their chances. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

Big loss for the Tigers. Sonsie has played some decent games of senior footy for the Tigers this season. Will be missed as a midfielder in their VFL team.
Looks like channel seven will be recording the Pies / Tigers VFL game on Sunday 27th starting at 12.00pm. |

I think I'd be happier to walk across the road to a place with actual seating for fans, personally... _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

All VFL finals games are played at venues where access can be controlled and patrons pay to get in.
That rules out the AIA Centre. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |
