Agree just miss finals this afl9 or what ever aflw numbe it is.

I feel that when we lost Davey and Bonnici i feel it was the same game too v carlton 2 years back we lost touch of our game plan and style.

We were then doomed for 2 years.

I feel Davey and Brit will take some time to get going in this instalment of the aflw.

Until we delist Fredrick we are not going anywhere at all.

We must delist her.

Time to bring in some kids.

Its made even harder that the aflw is and has expanded so much so fast.

VFLW side has better up shot to it.

Still think the one after the next aflw we will better placed.

^ 90 nice did you even see Friday's game? Davey had her best game ever. 35 disposals, 23 contested (a AFLW equal record) & a goal, and apparently she didn't even play any practice matches due to hamstring tightness! She's a star! The Dees had to double & triple team her in the second half to quell her influence. Brit also had a good return. They are not the problem. It's the rest of the team that are rather mediocre with a couple of exceptions.
Another problem with the AFLW now is that it no longer overlaps with the VFLW, so players not picked for the AFLW games don't play at all, where in previous seasons they were at least able to play in the VFLW. It's the main reason why we won a couple of VFLW grand finals pre covid.
Hopefully the compensation we get for Molloy leaving will get us a couple of gun kids in the next draft.
But it will be a few seasons before we can compete with those top teams that are dominating now - Melbourne, Kangaroos, Adelaide, Richmond, etc.

Agree there.

Davey is a star and in my mind the best thats ever played the game.

After the next draft we will start to improve.

Still a bit to go.

But we need compensation from Molloy been poached by Sydney and a couple of other players that were nabbed by st.kilda as well.

be a bonus if we make finals but i feel we might just miss.

Time for a win this saturday at Vic park as well.

Good crowd at the game (8,412) but mostly Dees supporters - their home game and it was the unfurling of the 2022 premiership flag.

Interesting vibe at the game, felt like I was at a pub where half of the crowd was there to socialise rather than watch the game. Only real crowd noise was when a goal was scored.

Next up, home game against Freo.
