I saw on AFL 360 tonight Fly mention that the 4th Quarter Jordan DeGoey goal out of the centre was a set play! And signaled from the boundary sign by holding up a sign with the number 23 on it (after Anthony Rocca).

He roughly said there is a sign for offense and a sign that does the reverse.

I know all Clubs have those signs but that is some amazing coaching.

I also wanted to know if anyone knows how many signs we have and what they mean?

Craig McRae reveals the signal directed to Collingwood players that sparked late goals against Lions

Collingwood was looking down the barrel of another heartbreaking grand final defeat when Charlie Cameron put the Lions in front almost 19 minutes into the final term.

Speaking at a premiership function, McRae said that goal brought an instant response on the boundary line as they held up a sign with No.23 - Rocca's old number - to highlight to the players that they needed to start taking risks.

"They (Brisbane) hit the lead with five minutes to go," McRae said. "We put up our No.23 Rocca sign up - it's good to have Anthony in the room tonight - and we knew we had to get to work."

I saw a STOP sign during the game which obviously means to shut it down.

There should be a range of Premiership t-shirts with these. Those that know, will know.

Whatever the sign was for the last centre bounce wasn't the right one though! Cox shovels it wide to no one, Steele doesn't follow Berry into the square. If not for the advantage call after Markov's sloppy tired) tackle our team may have been the one being dissected for a terrible 30 seconds of footy.

All's well that ends well I guess.
