| Collingwood will play Sydney Swans in Round 1 next year - the only uncertainty being whether the match will be in Sydney or at the4 "G" |

Given Longmire’s whinge after the Rnd 8 game, I doubt we will play Sydney at the MCG again this decade. Probably don’t want to unfurl the flag against Sydney anyway.

Guaranteed Pies 2024 fixture will be hardest in history…will defs play all the top performing teams twice and those on the decline only once…AFL will screw us over and include multiple away games and non-advantageous home games last third of the season…will probs also have to play Panthers twice, Lakers twice, Man City twice, All Blacks twice (both times over there at Eden Park), Novak Djokovic twice, Mike Tyson twice, Max Verstappen twice, and India in India on a slow dry turner twice!

Collingwood will host a game in Syd against an interstate club (non Syd) in 2024. It will count as one of Collingwood’s interstate games & a replacement game will be in Mel for members. It will mean Collingwood hosts only one game at Marvel Stadium in 2024. In

In the year 2024 Marvel Stadium will be renamed ‘again’ … this time to Boulevard of Broken Dreams Stadium where an interstate team with delusions of grandeur will play the Mighty Pies late in the season, win a close fought game, and proceed into the finals with false bravado claiming to have the wood over the woodsmen only to have their world come crashing down to earth when they are dismantled at the hallowed G…

I think the fixture came out on December 10 last year.
Looking forward to booking an interstate trip. Maybe Brisbane.

Apparently we are opening the season on a Saturday night against the Giants up in Sydney and Melbourne playing Swans nxt day @ SCG
Rest of the teams will open their accounts the following week while we have a bye!
What a sh!T way to start the season!
