Plenty of staff and players have left the VFLW team. It's going to be a completely new side.
We've been a successful VFLW club, but only have the 1 flag. (Would have won in the covid year and were unlucky to lose last year). We could be 3x Premiers.
But now will be pretty much starting from scratch again.
I also agree that VFLW is a better competition than AFLW as the players arent overhyped in the media and that it is a longer season and runs in winter.

Spot on Presti.
VFLW is a way better comp and one of the most under rated in the land.
I like VFLW as its less hype and more run off a smell of an oily rag and more raw.
You go to the AFLW and its all commercal and like just admvertising everywhere and a bit of carry on.
To me VFLW is alot harder and played on sub par grounds too and arent given the comforts of the grounds that host the AFLW.
I like both comps to be honest but vflw is alot more affordable as well.
I like collingwood prospects in the vflw in 2024 and kind of done a re set and a fresh new look.
Agree we would have an extra 2 flags if the gf wasnt cancelled and that we won last years gf on an away venue v port at port.
I feeling bullish this year in both the vflw and aflw.
Kind of a way sometimes you need to start from scatch in order to progress and become successfull.

Was having a nice walk around AIA oval or what ever name it is the VFLW girls teams looking like having a some sort of a match sim.
This was around 1230pm in hot weather they looked like crikceters with the zinc on and must say warm conditions there.
Saw a bit say 15 mins from the hill on the AAMI park wing.
They looked like they were just having fun.
I assume it was vflw definaelty girls playing in drills.
I know some vflw teams and local w teams are training up now.
im going to get along to more vflw games in 2024 i really like it

https://www.afl.com.au/news/1076421/2024-vflw-fixture-club-by-club

Last Season: 2nd (11-6)
Coach: Tom Cashin (1st season, replacing Chloe McMillan)

Fixture: SS (A), PM (A), Box (A), Car (H), Dar (A), Ess (H), Syd (A), Gee (A), WB (H), NM (H), SS (H), Cas (A), Dar (H*), Wil (H)
Plays Twice: Darebin, Southern Saints
VFL Double Headers: 5
Interstate Trips: 1
Summary: Last year’s runners up won’t be seen on home soil until they meet arch-rival Carlton in Round 4, with three challenging away games to kick things off, including the Grand Final rematch against Port Melbourne in Round 2. In fact, the Magpies play six of their first eight on the road, so will be wanting to get through that before they get their trade off with five of the last six at home. Their double-ups include 2022 Grand Finalist Southern Saints and 2023 wooden spooner Darebin, although the Magpies will play their Round 13 ‘home’ game against the Falcons at Genis Steel Oval. Meanwhile, there are only two “single-figure” fixtures – including the Port showdown.

Annoys me we have to wait till round 4 to finally play at vic park.
we never get to play port at vic park and way to much time to wait for our home game. 3 aways games in a row its hard and season could be done come round 4 due to it.
but be good to beat carlton at vic park in our first home game tho.
but we hardly ever play there this season.
5 is nothing
