Mihocek was excellent both up the ground and being able to find the goals. It was one of his best performances in his short career and he's already grown into one of my favourite players.

I agree with all of this. He had to fight so hard to make it to an AFL team and it's fantastic to see him do so well. Such a modest, unassuming bloke who is just so grateful for the opportunity he's been given.
They were saying on Fox that he must be the best value for money player in the AFL, because he's still a rookie (which I just can't fathom!!!). |

I always thought we'd win this one quite easily, and so it turned out.
Bucks pre-game presser was the most relaxed and confident I've seen him. We are going to get better as the season progresses. Another all round great performance. Well done lads, now to smash the bombers. |

"Funereal"? Have you guys been listening to too much Rex Hunt? |
Nah...don't know anything about Rex Hunt. When the game is over, McAvaney typically drops to a monotone, passionless call. But it is independent of who is playing. ... |
Rex used to refer to his radio rivals as "Tobin Brothers". |

The last quarter mightn't have been too pretty but how good was it to just be able to sit back, stress free and enjoy stomping Brisbane?
And in a perfect world, how many weeks should Zorko get for his cheap shot snipe on Adams (tht the commentators seemed to totally ignore) |

His funereal approach in the last quarter is typical of him when the game is over, and the last quarter is simply going through the motions, regardless of who is playing. |
They ( inc Bruce) were baracking for Brissy big time. |

Last quarter was predictable. Reign in the fast ball movement, preserve energy, manage the lead and revert to a slower keepings off brand to put plans into practise. Very professional finish apart from the final kick across goal. _________________ Est. 2002 |

A very enjoyable win , Treloar was amazing tonight , Callum Brown came into his own. Elliot moved really well and De Goey was a beast in the middle. So good to see smug Jonathan Brown having a sook afterwards. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

our best tagger, Adam Treloar? Hey, that is a whole new perspective. I think Bucks has just expressed a whole new insight that i was totally unaware of. Need to look into this more to understand it better _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

“We’re trying to add to our defensive integrity. I thought we were able to defend our front half a lot better, and the number of turnovers we had in our front half was encouraging.
“Brisbane have been the best stoppage-scoring side in the comp in the first four rounds, and we kept them to one goal, which was from a centre-bounce goal in the first quarter. So that was a really solid effort.”
...
“There’s an argument through the competition at the moment about taggers, and the effectiveness of them.
“And we have a couple of go-to guys who can do a job for us when we feel we need it, but we also want to have a balanced midfield that can defend as well as attack.
“Sometimes the names that we have used aren’t associated with defensive roles. But Pendles, Taylor Adams, Adam Treloar, James Aish, Chris Mayne, Levi Greenwood, to name a few, will have defensive roles at times.
“Largely I thought we were able to hunt the ball really well and impose our brand of footy, which is largely going to be our focus.”

We recorded a narrow victory over them in 2018.
All the talk was they'd improved in season 2019.
I guess we've improved more.
That performance made for a pleasant evening. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
