Great to be back on the winners list
Sier should remain in the senior side for the rest of the year. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I was going to say Treloar was quiet... 34 possessions, 10 contested.
Ditto with Sier, the big-bodied inside mid we need. |

I prefer the 5 goats. I'm hungry. |
My old man said he played in a VFA game where the prize was a goat. |

Great effort. Clunky at times. Pendles and Grundy unusually quiet. Enough class to overcome a plucky Melbourne. Sidey, Treloar, Steve all superb (needs to start kicking straight and he could be anything).
Nice end to her Majesty’s weekend. _________________ President - Coffs Harbour Collingwood Supporters Assoc. Inc. |

Cox got better as the game went on. Sier is so very important to our mids. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

WHE played a great game of gut running.
Crisp also great game.
Sier was good, but sometimes I wish he'd kick not handball.
Stephenson was very dangerous but kicked badly. |

Won all four quarters after finishing well despite a poor 10 minute patch
Best game from WHE for this year
Brown stood up in the last
Excellent games from Roughead Moore Howe Maynard and Crisp
Sier very good and is a huge in for the backend of the season
Cox makes us a 3-4 goal better team
A solid win! Let’s go for top two _________________ Daicos, impossible angle ... Goal! |

Sier big difference to our pressure, Brown does more than I see sometimes. _________________ go pies |

Very solid win. The injection of a big bodied mid made a huge difference to the look of our midfield. Treloar seemed so much more free to burn the jets, so was Sidey. When Tay is ready, he comes back in with the Bear, who knows what will happen. Our defence is heroic and magnificent. A perfect example of role playing. We lose Tom Langdon, a wonderful defender, and so others step up. I was impressed with Greenwood again: not many stats to advertise him, yet his constant pressure, desperation and attack on the ball were so often critical in repulsing Melbourne attacks. Aish was great as well I thought, likewise Darcy. Howe as well.
Stepho and JDG are both geniuses of football. When Stepho does some more practice on his set shots during the bye, who knows what he can unleash in teh second half of the year. With Jamie Elliot waiting in the sidelines as well, it is looking ominous for the opposition.
I think the key today was the uplifting of our midfield. And this was despite a rather ordinary game from Pendles. Sier's presence in the midfield complement made a huge difference. I think we can draw very optimistic conclusions from this game. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!
