Cameron easily, especially if Jordy wants to play more in the midfield. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

GWS said the other week Cameron is very happy and wants to stay. That usually means a club is worried he’ll go! |

JDG - Cameron is 3 years older; that's 3 years closer to the end of his career.
Its irrelevant anyway - tell me ant forward, current or retire, that could be a success with the way the mids deliver the ball? KPF are not the issue. |

De Goey stays- Carlton cant possibly get Saad, Zac Williams and De Goey.
Unless they offer up Mackay or Charlie Curnow- neither of which they will.
The acid needs to be put on De Goey, writ large, that he becomes the second in charge in the new midfield and heir apparent to Taylor Adams. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

If De Goey wants to play mid, why don’t we work harder to make him one? |

If JC was to commit to Collingwood, I'd be very interested to see what the Blues offer for De Goey.
Who is closer to being worth pick 7? De Goey, Williams or Saad? If we got pick 7 or a player of interest in return, we'd have to do this.

Charlie Curnow (23yo, 192cm). High flyer, goal kicker. Very athletic and a good contested mark. Missed the whole 2020 with a knee issue which has been a regular complaint. If fit, you'd want him, but could he be the new Langdon?
Harry McKay (22yo, 204cm). He's a key forward and no doubt Collingwood will be asking about him. Has been up-and-down but no doubt Carlton will want to keep him. He's the player we'll be mainly targeting if JDG asks for a trade.
Patrick Cripps (25yo, 195cm). Not going to happen. Midfield machine and easily their best player. Would be nice tho.
Sam Docherty (26yo, 185cm). Two knee recos is a concern. But he is a major ball magnet that has clean disposal too.
Sam Walsh (20yo, 184cm). Young ball winning midfielder. Carlton wont trade him. A future star.
Brodie Kemp (19yo, 193cm) Played as an intercept defender and as an inside midfielder in the under-18s. Then became the U18 All-Australian key forward. Has speed and was a top 10 draft pick. Has done an ACL but has recovered. Yet to play at AFL level.
Sam Petrevski-Seton (22yo, 182cm). Showed a lot early on but has dropped off a bit. Can play inside mid role. But didnt have a great 2020. WA lad. |

Cameron is 28 at the start of next season.
Getting long in the tooth.
JDG is 24.... that is the age you want a star. |

^ De Goey wont be going anywhere, this is usual panicky bullshit thread you get after a disappointing loss, throwing the baby out with the bath water. Nothing to see here. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Anyone is tradeable...all depends on what you get in return.
JDG should not leave the club for less than 2 first round picks minimum, even if his form has been patchy bc everyone knows what he can produce if given a run of luck and a run of disciplined behaviour.
He is not in a good position to push $700000 + pa. He is more of a $500000 atm.
I dont think we need KPF at all. If we could pick up a Wright for cheap then that is plausible but top of the list is gun midfielders x 2 or 3 ( thats after we have signed Moore Mihoceck and JDG ) ...hopefully we tie them 3 down for relatively fair priced contracts.
With the outgoings of some older players and a fair trade of Shazza and one or two more then we should have some cap space for young up and comers.
Would love to get a O Halloran or Caldwell or someone similar who have had a couple years in the system but arent too expensive just yet...good old moneyballing technique.
Would love to see a list of our players and see what people think they are worth ( pick wise in the draft ) _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

I’d argue JDG is better than Grundy. He is entitled to ask for us to match that. |

I would say JDG could work up to $700000+ plus bc he has "IT" but JDG is coming off a patchy year and hasnt proven his worth just yet.
Grundy haggled at the right time of his career coming off a super impressive year or three. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |
