A clever introduction boys!!!
I take your point that surely a debutante or two could not be much worse than what WHE, the Browns, JT are contributing at the moment.
However, there are some here on Nick's who think that blooding new players before they are ready could be detrimental to their confidence and development, which could also be an issue.
What would be your response to that? Thanks. |

Hey boys, love your show. It is just brilliant. Regardless of where we are at, you just make me laugh. I think you should make a rant each week. That way, when we lose, I still have something to look forward to!
Would like to say , I am not sure about this algorithm: "Just play the kids". You have to make sure there is a competitive structure there so that the kids can have an authentic experience. The test of Bux this year is not so much whether he can be our coach for 2022 (he cant). It is more about, can he create a valuable legacy by creating a positive induction for our new recruits? Can he bring them in so that they have get senior experience this year, while feeling that they have had enough support and understanding to feel confident going forward. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Great podcast guys. Is the podcast weekly. if not you should do one weekly.
An honest discussion without any fluff and hot air thinking whatever Collingwood does is always great.....
Unfortunately not.
This year seems to be a holding pattern
Waiting on coach and coaching staff - Have not delivered really. No premiership to show for it.
Recruiting - Average to poor over 10 year period
Really havn't got the team to compete for premiership in 2021
The earlier the club can make a call on the coach, assitant coached. The better we will be.
i believe we need to stop picking players that are not making a difference to the team moving forward. Yes you need to keep experience but i firmly believe we now need to get games into the kids.
10 years is enough time for Buckley and the players need a new voice.
Tell Buckley. Play the kids. Let everyone know
Make a statement
But i don't think the board has the gusto to do it _________________ The Great Macedonian Marvel |

|
Stop me if you've heard this one: an undermanned GWS team step onto the MCG to meet a Collingwood team who is expected to win.
The conditions are wet and windy and miserable.
And, for the bulk of the game, Collingwood showcase an ineptitude that's bedazzling in the scope of its enormity.
Well, here comes the Rant to rant away at Collingwood, and the powerbrokers who've put the club in this mess.
As well as a preview of what's to come!

Good move you two on broadening the discussion out to include the administration. They too are responsible for the current mess. In fact, had they performed their roles properly, perhaps there wouldn't have been a salary cap issue and all the copious effluent that has since flowed from it.
It's nearly guaranteed that Bucks is on his way out . The broom needs to be applied to the whole club to win back the faith and belief of members and supporters. |

Thanks so much guys. Love watching. You make me laugh so much and right now that is what I need. Your dry sense of humour just resonates so much with the Collingwood psyche. I am going to look forward to your rant more than ever this year, given the likely trajectory of our season! _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

agree. You cant blame the players for accepting the deals that they were offered. It is up to the "professionals" managing the list and salary cap to know what we can and cannot offer. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Love watching this every week.
Great points made about the current state of the club administration. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

The WHOLE club is an absolute basket case right now. Bucks is a problem, but the whole admin needs to be thrown out too. And the board can all go and jump off the West Gate as well. Useless pack of Yes persons. I'll bet Eddie is still pulling the strings in exile. The bastard! He screwed us big time turning this once people's club into his own personal fiefdom. What we are suffering is pure footy karma. |

Here comes the pain!
Another week, another loss.
What a shock of originality.
But we surely knew this was coming.
We surely knew this was going to the year it has been.
Sly and Spook look at criticism of Nathan Buckley's coaching, the game against the Eagles, Collingwood in the media, the upcoming clash against Essendon, and more!
All on The Rant!
