Date, Time and Place: Sunday, April 25 2021 (TBC) at Wembley Stadium

The League Cup Semi Final matches are now completed as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have advanced to the 2021 League Cup Final.

Manchester City will be looking to add more silverware to the collection under Pep Guardiola who has already won 8 trophies in his stint with the club. On the other hand, Tottenham are looking to win major silverware for the first time since 2008.

Manchester City last made the League Cup Final last year defeating Aston Villa 2-1. In contrast, Tottenham last made the League Cup Final in 2015 when they lost to Chelsea 2-0.

Both clubs have a history of League Cup success with Manchester City winning the competition seven times, which includes five in the last seven seasons. Tottenham have won the competition four times which they last did in 2008 with victory over Chelsea.

Road to Wembley:

Tottenham Hotspur:
Third Round - Leyton Orient ?-? Tottenham (Walkover due to COVID-19)
Fourth Round - Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea (5-4 on penalties)
Quarter Final - Stoke City 1-3 Tottenham
Semi Final - Tottenham 2-0 Brentford

Manchester City:
Third Round - Manchester City 2-1 Bournemouth
Fourth Round - Burnley 0-3 Manchester City
Fifth Round - Arsenal 1-4 Manchester City
Semi Final - Manchester United 0-2 Manchester City

Mourinho was sacked earlier in the week, which was ironic as Levy hired him to win trophies regardless of the brand of football they played.

City have been League Cup specialists in the last few years so it would be hard to tip against them.
